Controller - Nunchuck
1. The Nunchuck Controller
The ergonomic Nunchuck controller uses RF to connect to the Spine’s motor and needs 2 normal AA batteries. It has four buttons:
- White Speed/Break stick: Top (thumb)
- Push forward to Accelerate, backwards to brake
- Blue Cruise Control Button: Backside
- Push and hold to maintain the same speed, regardless of incline changes
- Red Direction Button: Backside
- Push once to change Direction - Reverse/forward
- Small white connector button: Front right
- Push once to connect to Spine Bluetooth receiver
- Blue light in front left side of controller indicates connection:
- Steady Blue light = Connected
- Blinking Blue light = Searching connection
- No light = Off
NOTE: Can’t seem to turn the Nunchuck off? Just take out the batteries and put them back.
2. Driving instructions
Driving a Faraday Spine is thrilling and great fun, but take care. This is not a toy, it is a means of transportation. Thus, show careful alertness and abide by local traffic regulations.
IMPORTANT POINTS:
- ALWAYS make sure your controller is working properly
- Smartphone prepared as described in section 3.1.2
- Nunchuck battery level okay
- Connect the wi-fi to the board, before starting the app
- Wear safety gear when driving (at least helmet)
- Beware of water – electronics are nano covered, but not 100% waterproof
- Inform people not to step on the back motor unit
- Max allowed weight 120kg
- Stop riding instantly if batteries seem weak (performance drops)
- ALWAYS unplug cables when the vehicle is not in use
